Abdeen Palace Museum

Khedive Ismail built Abdeen Palace in the 19th century, and it served as Egypt's seat of government from 1874 until the July Revolution in 1952. Since then, it has served as one of the presidential palaces. The palace is located in its own district, which is part of Cairo's Western Area, between Downtown and Historic Cairo.
