Al-Azhar Park is a public park in Historic Cairo, Egypt, located in qism al-Darb al-Ahmar. Among other accolades, the Project for Public Spaces named this park one of the world's sixty great public spaces.The park was created by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture's Historic Cities Support Programme, which is part of the Aga Khan Development Network. The park cost more than USD $30 million to build, with funding provided by Aga Khan IV, a descendant of Cairo's Fatimid Caliphs.
