The Citadel of Qaitbay (or Fort of Qaitbay; Arabic: ) is a 15th-century defensive fortress in Alexandria, Egypt, on the Mediterranean Sea. Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay constructed it between 1477 and 1479 AD (882-884 AH). The Citadel is located at the mouth of the Eastern Harbour on the eastern side of Pharos Island's northern tip.
