The Gayer-Anderson Museum is an Egyptian art museum located in Cairo. It is located in the Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood, next to the Ahmad ibn Tulun Mosque. The house was named after Major R.G. Gayer-Anderson Pasha, who lived there with special permission from the Egyptian government between 1935 and 1942. The museum is notable for having one of the few remaining examples of 17th-century domestic architecture in Cairo, as well as a collection of furniture, carpets, curio, and other objects.
