The Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, is a construction archaeological museum in Giza, Egypt. It will house ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the entire Tutankhamun collection, and will be the world's largest archaeological museum. Many of the pieces in its collection will be shown for the first time. The museum is located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex on a plot of land measuring approximately 480,000 square metres (5,200,000 sq ft). It was built as part of Giza 2030, a new master plan for the Giza Plateau.
