The Philae temple complex is an island-based temple complex in Egypt's Aswan Low Dam reservoir, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser. Until the International Campaign to Save Nubia's Monuments, the temple complex was located on Philae Island, near Upper Egypt's expansive First Cataract of the Nile.
