Tahrir Square

Tahrir Square, also known as "Martyr Square," is a major public town square in the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Since the early twentieth century, the square has served as the site and focal point for political demonstrations in Cairo; the city's previous central square was Salah al-Din Square.
